Peer Review Process

Sustainable Energy and Artificial Intelligence adheres to a double-blind peer review process to maintain the integrity and quality of scholarly articles. We welcome submissions through our dedicated online submission system. Each manuscript should be accompanied by a cover letter detailing the manuscript’s significance, addressing any potential editorial policy concerns, and disclosing any conflicts of interest. Authors are required to provide properly completed copyright and Conflict of Interest disclosure forms alongside their manuscripts.

Submission and Evaluation: Upon receipt, manuscripts undergo a technical review to confirm adherence to the Journal’s guidelines and to ensure originality, avoiding duplication with previously published work in both Iranian and international journals. Manuscripts that fall outside the Journal’s scope or fail to meet the required standards may be dismissed without further review. Those deemed appropriate are forwarded to at least two independent expert reviewers for a thorough assessment of the scientific merit, with the objective of expediting the decision-making process. Reviewers are required to disclose any conflicts of interest.

Editorial Review and Decision: The Editor-in-Chief evaluates reviewers’ feedback—typically from two independent sources—during the editorial board meeting to reach a final decision. The editorial team bases its decisions on the manuscript’s validity, coherence, and the peer reviewers’ evaluations. Reviewers also assess whether the research is methodologically sound, the subject matter is engaging, and the manuscript is well-written. The consensus among reviewers, or the absence of significant opposition, typically informs the final verdict. In instances of substantial disagreement, either among reviewers or between authors and reviewers, we seek further guidance from a member of the editorial board or a similarly qualified researcher.
